It has been fantastic to have been able to work on some really local work these last few weeks, just round the corner in Newark. Not only is it great to be able to work local but we have been found by other small local businesses.
Both JL Steel and Tower Crane Training are based in Newark and we really hope to do more work with them in the future
Welcome to the October newsletter from Arthur Hudson Site Engineers

Update on Arthur Hudson
  • We want to keep our new and existing customers up to date with the things we are doing here at Arthur Hudson, therefore we are doing a newsletter every month to make this happen!
  • Nick and Jane are continually developing and growing the business, which means that Nick isn't always available for site.
  • We have been training potential new engineers at the office recently, preparing them for their first days on site.

We moved onto the cloud
  • We moved over to the cloud back in August, which has been a huge success. It has helped all our staff to work more effectively and we are getting some fantastic feedback from the engineers

  • Two more of our engineers have completed their three day First Aid at Work training this month, bringing to total to seven of our engineers becoming First Aid trained. Well done to both Wojciech and Phil for passing!

  • We are currently working on our ISO9001:2015 certification. We have had independent consultants in this month helping us to get ready and it's all looking good.

They're growing!
  • Our social media platforms are growing! Our Twitter and LinkedIn pages have been going from strength to strength recently. They are bringing us new clients and helping to increase our visibility in our local area. We have had new customers contact us off the back or our LinkedIn and Twitter posts and these have turned into new jobs for us!

Local Work
  • Our newest recruit, Jonah, has been working on a local site in Swinderby for MG Steel and Lindum Group. He is working closely with Mark who is passing on some of his many years of experience to help develop the next generation of future engineers.

From Nick our MD
  • Arthur Hudson is 100% committed to providing a professional and high standard of service. We want to hear from loyal customers like you. Follow us on Twitter @arthurhudson07 and LinkedIn to keep up to date with all the latest news and let us know what you think about our site service and office support. Your feedback makes us better.
With the hopes of expanding our client base further we looked into becoming a member of Construction Line. Having worked our way up the ranks we are now extremely happy to have been awarded our Gold Membership. We are hoping this will open up new avenues of work for the business as well as allowing us to take even better care of the loyal clients we already have.
As a business we are always looking at ways of expanding and adding more to what we do. With this in mind we are delighted to have passed our RISQS Audit! This will allow us to be able to start working on the Railways which is something that our MD Nick has been wanting to do for a while.
We are very happy to have had two new engineers starting with us, Saul and Konstantinos. The need for additional Engineers stems from both our long term Clients and referrals from these clients giving us additional new business. As well as these two engineers we are also being approached by other people who are hoping to come and work for us. This means that people are recognizing the hard work we put into making sure our engineers get the best possible training available, with both Billy and Phil completing their NVQs and requesting additional training which we are putting on motion.
Here at Arthur Hudson Ltd we insist on keeping abreast of the latest technology and software to ensure our clients get the very best service we can offer them. As a result of this we have recently upgraded to AutoCad 2018 which we will be rolling out to all our engineers beginning with Nick our MD.
We are very happy to announce that yet again we have been assessed by National Business Standards and have successfully passed our ISO accreditation for this year meaning that we are doing everything right and to exceptionally high standards.
This means that as well as knowing we are doing everything we can to be on the top of our field but in turn we are able to provide our clients with our usual excellent standard of work.
Due to continued growth we are looking to expand our team and are looking for an experienced Site/Steel Engineer. Having good knowledge of the Autocad programme, EDM Total Stations and your own CSCS card is necessary and site experience is essential. A phone, laptop and equipment will be supplied along with a van for company use. Good rates of pay will be available for the right applicant.
This year Arthur Hudson Site Engineers are happy to be celebrating our 10 years in business. This is a great milestone and we are all very happy to be into our second decade. We have worked on many great projects including the London Olympics, and The Shard over the past decade and the team look forward to many more in the next.
Arthur Hudson Site Engineers was assessed against ISO9001:2008 on 20/06/2014 by National Business Standards and was approved for certification.

The assessor summarised his findings with a statement 'You can tell that this is being used as an effective management system, document control, customer feedback, management reviews and internal audits were all a perfect example of a working management system'.

We are pleased to now have formal recognition of the effectiveness of our management system. We see this as another tool to help us understand the needs of our customers and to continue to shape our business to better meet their demands.
